How a consolidated importer order works

teamotea ships consolidated importer orders from 100 kg (MOQ), and inside that order named teas start at 1 to 5 kg per SKU. A first shipment can therefore carry a broad range instead of one tea in depth: you test a range against your own customers before you commit a lane to it.

Terms are quoted EXW, FOB or CIF from Chinese ports through a licensed Chinese export partner, and DAP for Russia and the EAEU via white-channel carriers. DDP into the EU or the US is not offered: that term needs an importer of record in your country, which we are not. The term you pick decides how much of the journey we arrange — the split of duties per Incoterm is set out on trade terms.

Who exports, and what your broker receives

Every teamotea consignment leaves China through a licensed Chinese export partner: it issues the proforma invoice and prepares the export pack — GACC phytosanitary certificate, health certificate, certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list, and ISPM-15 heat-treated pallets. The itemised pack is on trade terms.

For your broker that means one exporter named across the paperwork, and one commercial invoice to match against the packing list.

Each listed tea also ships with a spec sheet referenced to the GB/T standard that governs it, with an ISO cross-reference where an international standard exists. The sheet is written to sit in your supplier file next to the export pack, not instead of it.

Ordering to a grade instead of a photograph

teamotea lists each tea as a class and a grade under the GB/T standard that governs it, so a reorder is specified rather than described. Stability between shipments comes from the standard the tea is ordered to: the second shipment matches the first within that standard’s tolerance. The GB/T and ISO references by class are on standards and compliance.

We hold no organic certification. On request we arrange multi-residue laboratory testing of the specific lot in your order — against GB 2763 for pesticide residues and GB 2762 for contaminants such as heavy metals — quoted per lot, with the report delivered before the balance payment. That ordering matters: you see the numbers for the tea in your order while the money is still yours.

Payment and the money route

A first teamotea order is 50% to start production and 50% before shipment; repeat orders move to 30/70. The instrument is a proforma invoice from the licensed Chinese export partner, settled by T/T bank transfer. Prices are set at origin in CNY and converted at the day’s rate, with tier pricing by volume in the catalogue.

What we do not offer: NET-30/60, consignment, or credit terms of any kind. Payment routes are bank transfer, card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB) and the local payment systems of your country; sample sets are payable online.

If your country cannot wire funds to a Chinese bank account, the conversation does not end there: routes by region, including accounts in other jurisdictions, the local payment systems of your own country, and cryptocurrency under our licensed Hong Kong entity — an official settlement channel with an invoice against it, not an informal arrangement — are set out on payments and shipping.

Volume tiers and a lane of your own

For distributors, teamotea quotes in tiers: the price list shows wholesale from 50 kg and wholesale from 10 kg, with Chinese retail for reference, and tier pricing by volume comes with the catalogue on enquiry. The consolidated shipment minimum stays 100 kg, so a mixed pilot and a tiered reorder run on the same terms.

Once a lane and a volume settle, the same range moves from LCL to full containers. If the line has to carry your own mark rather than ours, that runs through private label: from 50 to 100 kg per blend, produced in 30 to 60 days under your trademark, with a 3D mock-up of the tin within two weeks.
